My soul is awakened

My soul is awakened

Almost every teenager struggles with finding themselves in this big world. It's hard to accept yourself. It's hard to take your mask off and show your perfect imperfections. My work is based on my piece of writing you'll find below.

"My soul is wandering around the dirty streets. My mind is full of the words they always try to inject into my veins. They are always trying to convince me that I need them, they’re always trying to run my life. They are always trying to steal the keys of my heart. They are always trying to get into my damaged heart and change things the way they want to see. They are not going to understand me. They are not going to sink into my soul and discover who I really am.

They think they know you but they know someone who doesn’t even exist, they piece you in a way that makes sense to them.

They try to control your mind. They try to control your feelings. They try to rob your heart and extract your soul from your body. They try to impose their dreams, interests, beliefs and standards on you. They try to change your perspectives. They try to dictate where you are going. They try to steal your personality and create storms in your soul.

They don’t even know that not all storms are disrupting your life. They don’t even know that these storms are going to clear your path. These storms are going to make you stronger and stronger. These storms will make you realize that they’re not the only ones who don’t know who you are.Sometimes you also don’t know who you truly are. Sometimes you believe them. Sometimes you think you are someone they see.

Sometimes you just can’t find yourself. Sometimes you need a little rain. Sometimes you need to be alone.

It always rains after heavy storms and you are alone sitting in an empty room. They can't hear you. They can only hear the unbearable voices of rain. They can barely see your face.

They’ll never know what’s going on inside you. At the end of the day, they won’t recognize you. At the end of the day, you’ll bring back your soul. At the end of the day, you’ll find the missing parts of you. At the end of the day you’ll take your mask off. At the end of the day, you’ll understand the importance of storms. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.

My mind is wandering in peace. My soul is awakened."
